The Bucolic Labyrinth

7/20/2020

The Labyrinth is an ancient universal archetype that symbolizes our own unique psyche and offers a path for meditation and self-reflection.
This interactive installation highlights the powerful capacity of art-making to transform discarded banal waste into a spiritual, eco-friendly creation.

The formal procedures performed before, during, and after sporting events resemble those performed for religious purposes. This project playfully shows the connection between sports, sacred space, and ritual practice.
During this time of profound isolation, The Bucolic Labyrinth invokes a connection with nature and offers a path for transformation and healing. Now more than ever, we need projects that provide tools for social, political, and spiritual awakening, to bring forward the light from obscurity.
